FULL WAVE -or - INVERTER

Hirane was one of the first manufactures to pioneer the Full Wave DC (Direct Current) technology. Hirane uses a 3-Phase copper transformer and then converts the current from the transformer to direct current (DC) through a rectifier. We use a full wave rectifier to use 100% of the available power; the Series 2000 produces up to 9,800amp DC at the electrodes (RMS).
Some competitors will tell you the Inverter Technology is the latest technology and produces the best weld on the new steels. The inverter uses a different technology to produce DC current. Ultimately both the Inverter and Hirane welder produces exactly the same DC current at the electrodes.
The Hirane welder is still more powerful than many of the Inverters on the market; therefore we continue to use a tried, tested and successful technology.
